Christmas was seemingly never going to come…and your birthday was forever away and not getting here fast enough….remember? When you think back about when time was only good for telling you when school was over, you have to shake your head as you think nowadays about the irony of time flying past so quickly that it’s mind boggling and maybe even a bit annoying! The truth is that time does not stand still…it marches…and the plan is that throughout the time we have been allotted here on earth there will be lessons to learn and perspective to gain – and that means: ‘Change’!
No matter which country you live in, no matter what time era or how old you are…every day we learn about what makes us happy by the choices we make. We are continually learning and that also means, ‘change’.
One thing that has never changed is the value of building strong character, instilling ethics, and solidifying long lasting, loving family relationships.
The ‘good ‘ol days’ weren’t the old days to our ancestors…to them, their days were the current times and seasons of their lives. What they learned to do they taught their children…because a ‘work ethic’ was a matter of life and death. Learning to provide for the welfare of themselves and their families was a necessity.
Down thru the ages,
from one generation to the next – the perpetuation of family values continues to inspire the lives of our children with the courage to go forward in their own lives.
Families and individuals are strengthened as we share our experiences, insight, and wisdom.
Families make memories in pulling together, enjoying the good times, and making the best of things. Even if your own family was fragmented, it doesn’t mean your hopes for your own family will have to follow suit. As each individual follows righteous principles and makes good choices, family bonds stay strong and together families enjoy the blessings of love and unity.
The world may change but the principles of righteous living and righteous choices have been given to us by the Lord…and those principles will never change. Makes you realize just how important ‘being nice’ is, remembering that even in our ‘imperfectness’, forgiving others as well as ourselves is a gift we can give.
