Back home growing up we called the crisp round cracker bread with the hole in the middle “hard tack”.  Oh boy, I thought, we’ll have to see if they have the same thing in Sweden.  And, well… yes, we found out that they do…but it will be a while before we ‘get around’ to trying them all! 

It has definitely helped to have Äldste Neilson read the fine print of listed ingredients when trying to match what we are looking for at the grocery store to what is in the packages.  One mistake and …?!  Oops!

For all the unique differences there are as equal many of the ‘sameness’es’!  What delights us is to hear the children go up to the deli counter which has a b’jillion types of meats in all combinations and hear them order what their mom told them to have wrapped while she is off shopping a little ways away.  I just have to snap my fingers and shake my head…”Why can’t I do that?!”  I ask myself!  We passed by a playground in an apartment complex and there were several kids playing together on the swings just chattering away and laughing.  It so could have been a memory of our own children seemingly just a few years ago…Children are such a gift from God.  No wonder Father in Heaven encourages us to have the sweet faith and belief they have – for their little hearts see and feel Him so close and life can be so good as seen through their innocent example.  Sometimes, maybe often, we should try to get in touch with our own inner child and get to know and grow closer to ourselves, even find answers to life’s complexities and enjoy the moments together.  Who knows what you’re life would be like if perhaps you found a desire within your heart to feel closer to Him as well,  or found answers that you never would have hoped you might find.
